BBQ party at Tenpaku Park

| The CHIC annual
BBQ was a great success with beautiful weather, delicious food and a large
crowd to enjoy it all. The food was prepared by several people and there
was wide variety to choose from including fresh fish, sweet potatoes and
Lebannese food just to name a few. There was plenty to eat and drink for
everyone and after lunch we went to another area of the park and for a series
of games. The ages of those in attendance ranged from children to adults
so the games were particularly fun, especially the egg-in-spoon race and
the three-legged race. A short game of ultimate frisbee was also played.
The picnic was also the unveiling of the club's new t-shirts. They looked
great and a big thanks to Andrew Barton for designing them, Kyoko for taking
the orders and organizing the printing and Ryoko for helping distribute
the shirts. Also, thanks to all the cooks for preparing the food and everyone
for showing up and making the event one of the club's picnic's ever.
